eCourts is Magnolia City’s court system that is designed to be simple enough to allow anyone to bring a case before a judge, even without an attorney.
If you want to sue someone, all you have to do is file a complaint.

Have you filled out your Character Profile? Once you fill it out most fields throughout the website’s forms will fill in automatically.

OOC Note: Filing motions is only recommended if you are into in-depth court role play. If this form seems like a lot to you, you don’t have to fill it out.
Instead, make your request to the judge during the hearing set in your case.

File a Motion

City Court – Civil Motion

Section 1. Case Information

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If the case number does not exactly match the case number in the Complaint then your motion will not be filed, even if it is successfully submitted. It is in the format 20XXXXXX-XXXX
These are the four numbers found after “Filing No.” on the top right of the action you are responding to. This is NOT the last four numbers of the case number.

Section 2. Motion

NOTE: Your motion must start with either “Motion for” or “Motion to” in addition to being a legal motion.
The motion should contain the legal basis or grounds for the motion, the factual background, and your argument or discussion for moving the court to rule on your motion.

Section 3. Verification and Submission

This must match your name as registered with the Florida Bar.
