As a Firefighter, you will respond to fire emergencies, rescue individuals, and protect property from fire and other hazards. Your role involves operating firefighting equipment, conducting fire prevention and safety inspections, and providing emergency medical care when needed. You will work as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls, executing firefighting and rescue operations.
- Operate and maintain firefighting equipment, including hoses, pumps, and extinguishers.
- Perform search and rescue missions, providing assistance to individuals in danger.
- Conduct fire prevention inspections and educate the public on fire safety practices.
- Administer first aid and basic medical care as required.
- Complete reports on incidents, including actions taken and outcomes.
Positions with the Fire Department are subject to a paid two-week probationary period after which re-evaluation of the applicant’s placement within the department will be considered.
