She's opened up a shop in Magnolia, Natural Magicks, dealing with all kinds of magic. This is her first time living "in town", but she's approaching it with an open mind though she keeps looking towards the swamps not far away.
She's also Animal Control Officer for the PD, specializing in not using excessive force dealing with "her" critters.
She's fairly quiet about her religion even though she's been trained as a priestess. She's aware due to her time in college that her views are not always accepted or understood by others, and generally avoids confrontation. She is for "hire", but would have to be approached.
Rietta is from Thibodeaux, Louisiana and has recently moved to Florida. She's adept at dealing with animals, domestic and wild, herbs and plant life and all things natural. She has a degree in Geomatics/Surveying from Nicholls State University.
Her father is a fairly (in)famous alligator hunter active in south Louisiana, her mother is a Voodoo priestess. They never married, and lived several miles apart. Rietta was trained growing up in both arts, and was expected by both her parents to continue in their foot steps. She learned early on though she had no desire to hunt critters for money and preferred conservation and protecting them, while at the same time she felt she wasn't cut out to be a priestess and "lead" others and has pursued a more solo endeavor.
Both parents are not happy about her move to Magnolia, but she returns home often to keep them placated.
Rietta isn't comfortable around crowds, and will often lurk towards the back and slip out without notice. She's never been around large quantity of people other than in school where she didn't fit in. She is inexperienced with men and has never had a steady boyfriend or even one she was interested in for any length of time. Most of her time is spent doing little things in her shop, working with the PD or exploring the swamps.
The gray streaking in her hair is natural; at 30 she's already going gray. She dislikes tight clothing, boots, etc. and unless she has to (for example is working) wears little more than a simple cotton dress. Due to her upbringing she is capable with a gun, stick, or knife.
